Developed as part of the ThinkPub project, the podcast offers candid conversations with leading voices from the fields of books, audio, media, technology and publishing innovation. Each episode explores how publishers think, what drives their decisions, how personal and professional journeys shape the industry, and which ideas are influencing the future of publishing.

Smart, international and provocative, The Naked Publisher goes beyond standard industry narratives to reveal the mindsets, dilemmas and strategies behind today’s rapidly changing publishing landscape.

The podcast is produced with support from Narratix, a global audiobook production company, and is part of ThinkPub’s wider mission to provide European publishers with accessible knowledge, training materials and sector insights.

Episode #2
Laura Nevanlinna: From Angry Birds to the Future of Learning

In the second episode, Carlo Carrenho and Rüdiger Wischenbart speak with Laura Nevanlinna, CEO and founder of The Campus Company and former executive at Rovio and Ferly, about leadership, innovation and the power of intellectual property.

The conversation follows Nevanlinna’s journey through publishing, entertainment, education and global brand development, including her work connected to Angry Birds and other international franchises. The episode explores what publishers can learn from gaming, animation and transmedia storytelling, why Finnish companies often think globally from the very beginning, and how education is evolving into connected learning ecosystems.

Nevanlinna also reflects on creativity, partnerships, long-term thinking, women in leadership, mindfulness and the personal values that continue to shape her approach to business and innovation.
